We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Lecturer to teach on a range of Creative Writing / Scriptwriting modules including Introduction to Playwriting and Poetry (4x3 hr seminars -12hrs) and Writing for Film and TV (5x90 min seminars 7.5hrs). Most teaching takes place within the School of Creative Arts’ evening timetable, between 6pm and 9pm, and will occur across the autumn, spring and summer terms.
You should have good knowledge of the craft of scriptwriting for stage and screen and the working of the industry plus experience of teaching adult learners.
Remuneration
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £69.68 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5 which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
Contract
Fixed-term contract. Part-time (19.5 hours per week).
