Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated security professional to take ownership and lead Security Operations and initiatives that protect our infrastructure, data, and users.
As Information Security Analyst, you’ll work in a collaborative environment, engaging with stakeholders across the business to drive a proactive security posture, embed best practices and deliver innovative solutions to emerging threats.
This role is offered on permanent, full-time (35 hours a week) contract, with a salary of £51,000 rising to £60,018 per year and a generous annual leave and pension scheme in the higher education sector.
As an Information Security Analyst, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- In-depth knowledge of information security frameworks and standards
- Understanding of current IT threats, vulnerabilities, and legislation
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to use digital forensic techniques
- Experience with Cisco networking technologies and Fortinet Firewalls
- Experience in managing IT security events and delivering training.
