Are you an administrator with excellent IT and organisational skills, eager to learn, develop new skills and provide a crucial role in maintaining our Student visa sponsor licence? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a Student Immigration Compliance & Advice Officer for Summer 2026.

Salary range: £31,234 rising to £34,827 per annum. Contract type: Permanent (open ended). Mode: Full time. Grade: 4. Business Unit: Registry Services. Closing date for applicants: 26 May 2026. Reference number: 2381.

Responsibilities:

  • You will support the International Student Administration team (ISA) within Registry Services.
  • Managing administrative activities related to maintaining the university's Student Visa sponsor licence.
  • Completing ongoing international student support tasks, including providing basic immigration advice.
  • Providing information to colleagues across the university on matters related to international students.
  • Processing Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and undertaking routine compliance checks, such as cross‑checking data, running reports and updating internal records.
  • Maintaining close working relationships with academic departments, Finance, External Relations and other Registry Services teams.
  • Responding to daily contact with international applicants and students by email and phone.
