Birkbeck, University of London, is looking to recruit an Associate Lecturer on a part-time, fixed term basis to teach on our Undergraduate Law programme for Summer 2026. Joining Birkbeck's Law School, you would teach on the module: Equality and Diversity.
Teaching: Thursday evenings 6-7.30pm, Summer Term (from w/c 27 April 2026)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver teaching to Birkbeck students to enable them to complete their studies successfully.
- Undertake related course administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Relevant specialist legal knowledge to teach the listed law module(s).
- Qualified with an LLM (or related postgraduate degree) with either an LLB (or similar qualification that covers the 7 foundations of legal knowledge) or equivalent professional experience.

Remuneration and Contract:
- Hourly rate starting at £69.68 per hour (inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and includes a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5 for preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties.
- Contract: Fixed-term, 7 April to 31 August 2026, part-time.
