We are looking for a highly capable Office Manager / Personal Assistant to support Birdswell Partners, while also playing a central role in the launch and day-to-day running of a new professional co-working space based in Ilfracombe. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, problem-solving, and building systems from the ground up. You will be involved from the outset, helping deliver the initial office refurbishment, before moving into the ongoing management of the co-working space and providing administrative and PA support to the Birdswell Partners business.
The Role
- Office setup and refurbishment
- Coordinating contractors, suppliers and deliveries
- Managing timelines, budgets and practical logistics
- Being the on-site point of contact during works
- Helping source furniture, equipment and technology
- Co-working space management
- Day-to-day management of the office and shared facilities
- Onboarding new members and managing bookings
- Handling utilities, cleaning, internet, supplies and general upkeep
- Continuously improving how the space operates
- Office management & PA support for Birdswell Partners
- Managing emails, calendars and scheduling
- General business administration and organisation
- Supporting client work and internal processes
- Helping implement new tools, systems and workflows
- Acting as a trusted right-hand support across multiple priorities
About You
- You are likely to be:

- Confident dealing with clients, suppliers and members
- Happy working independently and exercising judgement
- Based locally and able to work from the Ilfracombe office
You do not need prior experience in co-working or professional services, but you should be practical, adaptable, and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment.
