Location: Littleover, 13 Northview, Burton Road, Littleover, Derby, DE23 6FS

Employment Type: Part-time

Hours: 6.5 p/w

Salary: £13.61 p/h

Purpose: To manage and assume overall responsibility for the success of the shop on a Sunday by leading all operational aspects of the shop, driving sales whilst at the same time controlling costs and by being a skilled people manager. Creating a friendly warming environment for not only our customers but an environment where individuals are coached and inspired to do their best.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that excellent customer service is always provided by every member of your team.
  • Inspire, motivate, train and energise your team to increase sales.
  • Provide store performance information as required by the Area Manager.
  • Effectively manage stock control and maximise the shop’s sales, payroll, waste, and reconciliation performance.
  • Deliver sales training to the store team members to develop skills in up selling to ensure opportunities are maximised.
  • Ensure the standards for food safety and health and safety are met consistently.
  • Ensure that the visual presentation of the shop is in accordance with Birds' brand image.
  • Be compliant with Company policies and operational guidelines.
  • Ensure that the very best people are recruited for the shop.

Experience:

  • Supervisory experience with the skills and ability to drive and motivate performance of your staff.
  • A sound understanding of shop operations and standards for success.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Monthly rota experience.
  • A basic and practical knowledge of IT.
  • Good standard of English and Maths.
