About the role

Accountable for the planning and delivery of a profitable growth plan for Ocado within the Birds Eye, Aunt Bessie’s & Goodfella’s portfolios as well as ownership and co‑ordination of the total media strategy with Ocado. This is a key role within the wider eCommerce sales team.

Utilising category and consumer insight to achieve key business targets.

This role will be managing key areas for the business within the Birds Eye, Aunt Bessie and Goodfella’s Pizza portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of the sales and profit targets for Ocado
  • Define and communicate the long (3‑5 year) and short‑term (annual plan) strategy for Ocado and ensure delivery and accountability is taken cross‑functionally to execute
  • Deliver accuracy and timeliness of required administration
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate forecast including Risks and Opportunities
  • Negotiate and deliver annual JBP’s
  • Deliver and land inflation when required
  • Responsible for all commercial proposals i.e. NPD, Promotional planning
  • Responsible for tracking commercial performance of the category plans both internally and externally
  • Deliver the eCommerce business objectives defined by the eCommerce channel team i.e. drive for best‑in‑class Brilliant Basics
  • Track performance to make decisions in course of action and day to day management of accounts. Apply expert knowledge and insights to divert focus and inform actions if needed
  • Tight control of spend across media, category data and promotions to benefit the P&L
  • Align with the Shopper Marketing team to enhance key brand initiatives surrounding event activation to drive ROI forward
  • Manage cross functional team to support on delivering account objectives and ensuring Ocado is adequately supported.
  • Managing the external customer relationships ensuring communication with pace and aligning internal touchpoints to showcase cross‑functional expertise
  • Support the eCommerce & Pureplay Controller / BUD for T2T discussions
  • Align with the customer operations planner to ensure availability and service levels hit targets
  • Ensuring promotions, media, and stock are aligned to activation plans

About you

We need a driven and experienced commercial professional that has managed a P&L and owned a key channel. We need someone with a structured selling process and can comfortably conduct portfolio negotiations with retailers.

  • Ocado & eCommerce experience preferable but not essential.
  • Must have experience of P&L – circa ÂŁ16m
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and proactive in communication.
  • Understanding of teamwork and promoting high performing behaviours.
