We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This is a field-based role primarily covering maintenance and repairs across our retail shops in the East Midlands, with occasional support at our Derby Bakery. The position includes on-call duties with additional pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance, including PPM and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain and repair in-store equipment (e.g., ovens, fridges, lighting, plumbing).
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Work closely with store teams and contractors to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and accurate service records.
  • Provide excellent internal customer service.

Shifts: Day Shifts - 5 days a week, Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week. On-Call availability required.

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in maintenance and repairs.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexible with working hours and occasional out-of-hours work.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), panel wiring, and steam systems.
  • Background in food production environments.

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds or MVQ/BTEC in Electrical Maintenance/Installation.
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671:2022) certification.

Benefits: 4 weeks holiday per year, increasing incrementally to 5 weeks holiday (after 5 years continuous service) plus Bank Holidays. Staff discount.
