We have a unique opportunity for full-time Bakery Operatives to join our Day Bakery Team at our renowned bakery in Derby.

Responsibilities

  • Mixing, forming, proving, baking, finishing and packing of our bakery goods to an exceptional standard.

Shifts

  • The role is 45 hours per week, working a day shift starting at 5am.
  • The role will require working 1 in 5 Saturdays to support our 7-day operation.

Experience

  • Understanding of the mixing and processing of dough, both by hand and machine.
  • Enthusiastic and positive individuals with a flexible attitude who are comfortable working on their own or as part of a team.
  • Able to work under pressure without compromising quality or safety.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work to a high standard in an efficient, clean and tidy manner, observing the highest food hygiene guidelines to meet strict despatch deadlines.
  • Able to demonstrate pastry and confectionary skills such as piping and decorating to produce products to a high standard.
  • Production of both meat and non-meat products.
  • Manufacture of high care products such as sandwich fillings and cooked meats.
  • Operations of packing machines.
  • Previous experience in food production or a similar environment is preferred; however, full training will be provided for suitable applicants.

Benefits

  • 4 weeks holiday per year increasing incrementally each year to 5 weeks holiday per year (after 5 years continuous service) plus bank holidays.
  • Staff discount.
  • Note: Wage is £514.80 - £536.85 p/w dependant on experience.
