We have opportunities for experienced, full-time 7.5 tonne Drivers to join our Transport team based at our prestigious Ascot Drive Bakery. You will be delivering Birds’ freshly made products to our shops and returning empty racks and cabinets to the Bakery.
Responsibilities:
- Load/unload vehicles; manual handling of rolling equipment and no hand balling involved.
- Ensure vehicle loads are safe and secured with the appropriate restraints as per Company procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
- Perform daily vehicle defect checks and log as necessary.
Shifts:
Days of work are Monday to Saturday. Hours of work are 3.30am/4am to 11am/12pm.
Experience:
Applicants must be of smart appearance and ideally have good knowledge of the local area but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
Qualifications:
- C1 Licence
- A valid CPC Driver Qualification Card
- Digi-Card
- A clean Driving Licence
4 weeks holiday per year increasing incrementally each year to 5 weeks holiday per year (after 5 years continuous service) plus bank holidays.
