Overview
Pest Ex provides specialist pest management services to residential and commercial clients across the North East. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pest Control Technician to join us on a permanent, full-time contract.
Job Purpose
You will be part of a friendly, hardworking team, helping to deliver on our target of becoming the North East’s first choice for pest control by providing a first-class service that is unrivalled in quality. Your duties will include visiting client sites to undertake surveys, pest management visits and proofing works, following best practice in pest control and procedures for safe working, providing advice and guidance to clients, and upselling our products and services.
This is a customer-facing role and you will be visiting a variety of sites; therefore, customer service and problem-solving skills are essential. You must be approachable and adaptable, as no two days are the same. As you will be required to work at height at times, as well as independently, a safety-conscious attitude is imperative.
Please note, although previous experience in a pest control role is preferable, if you have strong values and excellent work ethic, we are happy to provide training to enable you to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Visit client sites to undertake surveys, pest management visits and proofing works.
- Follow best practice in pest control and procedures for safe working.
- Provide advice and guidance to clients and upsell products and services.
- Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.
- Work at height when required and operate as part of a team or independently.
Qualifications
- Minimum RSPH Level 2 Pest Control or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence (no points preferably).
- Basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
- Friendly and positive attitude.
- Able to climb ladders, bend, lift heavy equipment, crawl in tight spaces, etc.
- Able to work independently, and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with travelling and working outdoors.
- Willing to work overtime, including occasional weekends and (rarely) nights.
