Based out of Stockton and operating nationwide, Bird Tech provide bespoke bird deterrent and proofing systems to residential and commercial premises. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Installer to join us on a permanent, full-time contract!
Please be aware that this role requires working away from home Monday-Friday.
Job PurposeYou will be part of a fun, hard-working team; assisting and learning all the different installation methods for various bird control systems. Your duties will include:
- Installing, repairing and upgrading systems
- Undertaking decontamination and proofing works
- Carrying out risk assessments
- Following procedures for safe working
You will be required to work at height, therefore, a safety-conscious attitude, ability to work in a team, follow instructions and problem-solving skills are all essential.
Requirements- Full UK driving licence
- Must be comfortable with working at heights
- Able to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, etc.
- Non-essential but advantageous: CSCS green card, IPAF, PASMA
- Previous installation or mechanical experience advantageous
- Any of the following certificates: H&S Awareness, Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, Ladder Safety, Roof Safety, Manual Handling, IRATA
- Additional supplement for overnight stays and night shifts
- 20+ days holiday PA + bank holidays
- Uncapped overtime
- Fully-funded training with accredited bodies
- Uniform and all PPE
- Paid travel and accommodation
We encourage those with transferrable skills to apply, e.g. those with previous experience in installation, cladding, industrial cleaning, fabrication or construction, etc. We also encourage those without experience to apply, if they have the right attitude and a keen interest in the industry. Full training will be provided and we will support you every step of the way.
