We are currently seeking a Rates Assistant to provide administrative support to the Rates team in the management of global client agreed rates. This role will involve liaison with members of the team and the wider business, including PAs and Billing Coordinators. The role holder will take responsibility for ensuring that agreed rates are accurately recorded into our practice management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative assistance to help support senior members of the Rates team.
  • Monitoring the Rates inbox and responding to email queries in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing global business acceptance rate proposals - entering matter rates, applying blended rate sets & discounts.
  • Supporting the team with general rates housekeeping to ensure existing system rates are correct.
  • Updating system client/matter comments with current rate information.
  • Producing rate information from Aderant and SSRS reports.
  • Attending meetings with the team to discuss issues and solutions.
  • Assisting the Rates Manager with ad-hoc requests.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in a Finance/Accounts team.
  • Understanding of a billing process.
  • Previous experience using an accounting practice management system.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work produced.
  • Numerically competent with excellent organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and other MS packages.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proven ability to use own initiative and a proactive attitude.
