We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing & Business Development professional to join our international Intellectual Property (IP) Practice Group. Reporting to the Business Development (BD) Manager, you will drive all MBD activities within your pod.
The team
Our BD Team operates on a ‘pod system’, where members work in small groups supporting specific practices and sectors. The successful candidate will be fully supported by an experienced BD Manager but will also have autonomy to manage activities. This role is ideal for an ambitious MBD Executive eager to grow within a dynamic, tech-focused law firm with a friendly culture.
You will have access to external training and internal development programs, work with stakeholders across the firm, and be part of a supportive Business Services team. You will contribute to a top-tier international law firm known for its innovative approach and market presence.
What you\’ll do
You will support the development and execution of international MBD plans for our Life Sciences & Healthcare Sector Group and IP Practice Group. Your responsibilities include:
- Reputation and positioning: Enhancing market presence through social media, PR, and event support, including the upcoming INTA and BIO conferences, as well as internal retreats.
- Managing directories and award submissions for the UK and The Netherlands.
- Overseeing IP microsites and newsletters, ensuring content is current and aligns with branding guidelines.
- Creating marketing materials such as webinars, videos, and apps to support firm strategies.
Infrastructure, process, and principles
- Maintaining credentials databases, intranet, web pages, CRM, and pitch content.
- Ensuring marketing materials are up-to-date and compliant with brand standards.
- Supporting pitch responses and scheduling meetings across multiple time zones.
- Responding to BD queries and sharing team news.
Revenue generation
- Identifying trends and supporting cross-selling initiatives.
- Assisting with bids, tenders, and campaigns using Loopio.
- Promoting the firm’s client service tools and supporting client development projects.
About you
You are curious, proactive, and relationship-oriented, with a passion for emerging trends. You have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a flexible attitude. Experience in professional services, legal or IP sectors, and familiarity with MS Office and social media are advantageous.
This role may require some work outside normal hours and involves additional duties as needed.
