We are looking for a dynamic and capable Digital Marketing Executive who can help us take our digital marketing efforts to the next level. You will be part of our Digital team to help drive day‑to‑day website and digital marketing activities, reporting into our Senior Digital Marketing Manager. We have a long‑established and award‑winning brand and digital presence. The opportunity now is to evolve and optimise our digital channels and content and increase the value and visibility of our digital marketing efforts. You'll be a key part of this exciting journey!
You’ll be joining our Central Marketing & Business Development (MBD) team who work in partnership with senior stakeholders across the firm to set the strategy and shape the tactics to build our firm's profile, win new work and strengthen and deepen client relationships. The team is mostly based in London and is made up of over 60 specialists in marketing communications, business development and client service. We also have a large network of colleagues working across 33 countries internationally. As a central team we lead global activities while working closely with our network of MBD colleagues based across our international offices. You’ll be at the heart of Bird & Bird's digital marketing activity. Helping to shape how we show up online, keeping our website running smoothly, and making sure the right content reaches the right audiences. Working closely with MBD colleagues, fee earners and stakeholders across our global offices, you'll manage day‑to‑day digital requests, publish and optimise content across our channels, and use data to tell the story of what's working and why. Key Responsibilities- Reporting back to the business by pulling together analytics reports using platforms like Google Analytics, Looker Studio, SEMRush and more.
- Support the development and optimisation of SEO & GEO strategies to improve organic search visibility and drive qualified traffic to the website.
- Support the creation and optimisation of compelling landing pages, articles, thought leadership that resonates with target audiences and supports campaign goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure digital activity is aligned with wider marketing goals and brand guidelines.
- Research emerging digital marketing trends and tools, making recommendations to enhance the firm's digital presence and competitive positioning.
- Working closely with other team members, you will respond to various requests to update, maintain or create website content, and approve email marketing newsletters – managing this in a timely and effective way, and escalating issues as required.
- Supporting the lawyer website biography upload process – ensuring that biographies are aligned with our Tone of Voice, helping proofread and edit them, and coordinating the regular website upload with all internal and external stakeholders involved.
- Working alongside the business and BD teams to support business development and communication objectives, advising on the application of content across digital templates and escalating issues as required.
- Liaising with our digital agency support network to enhance and develop a range of workstreams and processes.
- Experience in publishing content for the web via a CMS (Sitecore or Umbraco preferred).
- Understanding of website analytics (Google Analytics).
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to prioritise, effectively dealing with changing priorities and tight timeframes.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Driven to achieve and improve, with a desire to develop skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
- Comfortable with proofreading, editing and/or writing marketing copy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across various countries.
- Willingness to work as part of a team with a 'can‑do' attitude.
- Flexible to change, listening and understanding others' motivations and priorities to find the best solutions.
- Experience of sending email campaigns via an email marketing tool.
- Working knowledge of HTML and the Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Photoshop) would be a plus.
