We are looking for a colleague to join our Practice Team, making a difference to patients in Letchworth. You will be registered with GMC and engaged in regular clinical work.

Main duties of the job:
- Provide clinical care to patients, including consultation sessions, telephone triage, econsults, correspondence, results, medication reviews, prescription signing, and other clinical administration, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings, and on-call (excluding out of hours).
- Adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and prioritise individual patient care.
- Provide support, on a rota basis, as the Triage Clinician for total triage way of working.
- Work with the Directors and Practice Manager to support the development, delivery, and review of the agreed surgery action plan, which may include list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, safeguarding of patients, KPI targets, CQC, PNC DES activities, resources, profile, and cost management.
- Provide colleague clinical support to your peer GPs, nurses, HCAs, trainees, and other healthcare colleagues.
- Work closely with the Practice primary health care team in delivering clinical care.
- Actively participate in regular clinical Practice meetings.
- Ensure ongoing CPD to keep abreast of new clinical developments.
- Document and report significant events and matters relating to clinical governance to the Practice Manager.
About us:
The Birchwood and Sollershott Surgery is one practice based over two sites. We are an accredited education practice, which supports ST2/ST3s. With a patient list of approx 18,500 and growing, we are a busy and lively practice. We operate a Total Triage model of working, with a clinical triage team supporting the triage for patient enquiries. Our GPs have 15-minute per patient appointments, with admin and catch-up slots during the day. Our multi-disciplinary clinical team is made up of GPs, Paramedic, ANPs, prescribing nurses, Practice Nurses, and Health Care Assistants. We operate in a supportive PCN area, with support from Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, First Contact Physio, Midwifery, Phlebotomy, Mental Health Nurse, Social Prescribers, and Enhanced Access Service.
