We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Motorcycle Technician to join our team at our state-of-the-art workshop facility. The successful candidate will have technical experience of modern motorcycles and be able to use current diagnostic equipment and will be required to carry out all aspects of servicing and modern engine work. From time to time, you may also be required to talk to customers and as such you must be able to communicate clearly and provide technical explanations in a way that can be easily understood.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:- Diagnose complex motorcycle faults
- Repair and rectify electrical and mechanical defects consistently to a high standard of workmanship
- Ensure repairs align with manufacturer guidelines and warranty requirements
- Work closely with the after sales advisors to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in motorcycle technology and attend manufacturer training
- Support fellow technicians and apprentices, providing guidance to ensure high standards of workmanship across the workshop
- Ensure all safety, environmental and compliance requirements are followed
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Motorcycle Technician & MOT Tester
- Qualified Motorcycle MOT tester (preferred but not essential)
- Proven experience with modern motorcycles and be able to work unsupervised in a safe and timely manner
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience of working in a franchised workshop environment
- A full motorcycle and/or car licence are essential
- Have excellent communication skills, face to face and on the phone
- Self-motivated, with a proactive, flexible attitude
Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Salary: £35,000 Basic (£41,000 OTE) competitive based on experience
