Birchwood Group is a forward-looking company with retail stores, workshops and facilities based across the south coast of Sussex and Hampshire.
Reporting to the General Manager, we are seeking a dedicated Alloy Wheel Technician to join our team at our Pronto workshop in Eastbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out wheel refurbishment work to vehicles, efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Carry out all aspects of wheel repair techniques to cars and vans
- Work in a highly organised manner to optimise person efficiency
- Be able to work to a demanding schedule, whilst maintaining a high quality of work
- Advise relevant staff of any additional work found necessary on a vehicle
- Ensure that work is completed within manufacturers standard times where possible
- Provide a full description of work carried out on the job card
- Ensure where possible that customer’s vehicles are ready for the time required
- Keep personal working areas clean and free from potential hazards, reporting any potential hazards to your supervisor
- Take all reasonable care of customers vehicles
- Read all technical specifications and health and safety regulations
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in alloy wheel repairs (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- The ability to multi-task
- Team player who uses their initiative, is flexible and has a can-do attitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Organised and takes responsibility for their own actions
Package:
- Salary: £28,000 (£34,000 OTE)
- Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00, Saturday 08:00-12:00 (1 in 2 on a rota)
- Holiday: 22 days per year + bank holidays
- Benefits: Health cash plan, Subsidised vehicle purchase and aftersales scheme (upon completion of probation)
