This role will suit an experienced engineering leader who can combine people management, delivery ownership and sound technical judgement. You will lead a multi-disciplinary software engineering team, work closely with product and senior stakeholders and help create the structure, standards and environment needed for engineers to deliver high-quality software consistently. What you will be doing Lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary software engineering team. Improve planning, delivery predictability, engineering quality and team effectiveness. Work with product leaders to shape priorities, delivery plans and technical trade-offs. Support architectural decision-making and ensure engineering standards remain practical and consistent. Build effective hiring, onboarding, progression and performance-management processes. Use delivery and engineering metrics to identify risks, remove blockers and guide improvement. What we are looking for Strong commercial experience managing software engineering teams. A technical background in software engineering, architecture or hands-on development. Experience leading delivery in a SaaS, digital product or technology-led environment. Confidence managing senior engineers and supporting career development across different levels. A good understanding of cloud platforms, modern development practices, testing and CI/CD. Clear communication and the ability to work effectively with product, design and senior business stakeholders. What is on offer Salary between £90,000 and £110,000, depending on experience.
