Job Description Commercial Electrician \ N 3 Nights Away, Home Thursday Night \ N Typical earnings around £52,000+ per year / £4,400+ per month based on 50 hours per week. \ N We are looking for a fully qualified electrician to join the business in a permanent full-time role. \ N This position focuses oncommercial and industrial installation work across mainland UK. A lot of our work takes place in automotive workshop environments, but the role is not limited to that. What it does involve is organised installation work, working away during the week, and being part of a team that takes pride in doing things properly. \ N We prefer to be clear about what the role involves so applicants understand the environment and expectations from the start. \ N The working pattern \ N Most weeks follow the same structure: \ N \n Travel Monday morning \ N Away Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night \ N Home Thursday night \ N \n That means 3 nights away most weeks, not 4. \ N Across Monday to Thursdayyou will typically work around 50 hours, creating strong earning potential while still getting you home for a 3 day weekend most weeks. \ N Friday is normally a restday. Occasionally there may be the option of local work, but this is entirely optional. \ N Pay and package \ N \n £18.50 per hour basic rate (JIB rate) \ N Higher starting rate available for electricians holding 2391 / Approved Electrician status (typically starting from £20 per hour) \ N Overtime after 40 hours \ N Typical gross monthly earnings around £4,400+ based on a 50-hour week \ N £20 per night away allowance \ N Accommodation arrangedand fully paid by the office usually Airbnb style where possible, or Premier Inn / Travelodge if unavailable \ N Company van provided \ N Holiday pay calculatedusing average earnings including overtime \ N Pay progression linkedto performance, output and reliability \ N \n Reviews take placeduring probation at 30 days, 3 months and 6 months, followed by annual reviews. Strong performers can progress quickly beyond starting rates. \ N The role \n You will be carrying out commercial and industrial electrical installation work as part of our installation side of the business. \ N Typical work includes: \ N \n Electrical installations linked to specialist equipment \ N Power supplies and connections \ N Containment and wiring \ N Working in active commercial environments where planning and organisation are important \ N Supporting and leadingjunior electricians / mates on site \ N \n Initially you willwork alongside one of our existing lead engineers to learn how we operate before progressing into your own team and projects. \ N You will be joining the business as an additional installation team alongside three existing teams working on projects across the UK. \ N How we work \n We understand that electricians get frustrated with badly organised jobs where materials are missing and engineers are left sorting everything out themselves. \ N We work hard to avoid that. \ N Our aim is to keep projects organised so engineers can focus on the installation work itself. \ N That includes: \ N \n Materials organised by the office before the job \ N Accounts with all majorwholesalers \ N Company credit card provided for site purchases where required \ N Lead engineers providedwith a work tablet \ N Job information handleddigitally and accessible when needed \ N \n We expect high standards, but we also make sure engineers are properly supported. \ N Travel and accommodation \ N When working away, time is recorded from the yard in Cottingham. \ N Engineers clock on when leaving the yard Monday morning and clock off/on when arriving/leaving digs, and again when returning to the yard at the end of the week. \ N Minimum requirements \ N Applicants must meet thefollowing: \ N \n Fully qualified electrician \ N NVQ Level 3, AM2 and 18th Edition completed \ N Full UK driving licence \ N Commercial or industrial installation experience \ N Experience supervising,supporting or taking responsibility on site \ N Willingness to work away Monday to Thursday most weeks \ N \n Who this role suits \ N This role suits electricians who: \ N \n Enjoy installation work rather than reactive domestic jobs \ N Are comfortable takingresponsibility on site \ N Are happy working awayduring the week \ N Want strong earning potential \ N Want to join a growingbusiness and build a long-term role \ N \n We run a supportive environment rather than an authoritarian one.
