Birchwell Associates is recruiting for an experienced Solar Electrician to join a growing renewable energy contractor delivering Solar PV and battery storage projects across Devon and the surrounding areas. This is a hands-on position suited to a qualified electrician with strong installation, testing and fault-finding experience who is looking to build or continue a career within the renewable energy sector.
The Role
- Responsible for electrical works across Solar PV and battery storage installations, working across a mixture of domestic and commercial projects.
- Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems.
- Battery storage installation.
- Inverter installation and connection.
- AC electrical works associated with renewable energy systems.
- Testing, inspection and certification.
- Fault finding and remedial works.
- Consumer unit and electrical upgrades where required.
- Working from electrical drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring installations comply with BS 7671 and relevant industry standards.
- Completing work to a high standard while maintaining excellent health and safety practices.
- Liaising with customers, site teams and project management.
What We're Looking For
- 18th Edition City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
- Relevant Level 3 electrical qualification / apprenticeship.
- Strong electrical installation experience.
- Experience with Solar PV installations.
- Good testing and fault-finding ability.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with battery storage, inverters and renewable energy systems would be highly advantageous.
