Birchwell Associates is looking for an experienced Solar Panel Installer to join our growing renewables team. You will work across a range of residential and commercial sites, installing and maintaining solar PV and thermal systems that help clients reduce their carbon footprint and energy bills. This is a field-based role involving travel across the North of England, with occasional overnight stays (expenses and accommodation covered).
Your Role Will Include:
- Installing and maintaining solar PV and solar thermal systems
- Commissioning systems and ensuring compliance with standards
- Interacting professionally with customers on-site
- Collaborating with project teams, roofers, and electricians
- Ensuring all work meets safety regulations and quality benchmarks
Who We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in solar PV and/or thermal installations
- Comfortable working at height and on rooftops
- Strong electrical knowledge and fault-finding ability
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and health & safety aware
- Willing to travel and stay overnight when required
- Able to manage time and meet deadlines effectively
Desirable:
- Roofing experience
- Relevant electrical certifications
- CSCS card
