Birchwell Associates is working with a growing organisation to recruit an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance a modern, cloud-based IT environment. This role is ideal for a technically capable systems professional with strong Azure and infrastructure experience who wants to work with up-to-date technology in a supportive, forward-thinking workplace.

The Role

As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance, security, and reliability of IT systems and network infrastructure. You will work closely with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure systems remain robust, secure, and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supporting Azure-based environments
  • Administering Active Directory / Microsoft Entra
  • Maintaining DNS, DHCP, email systems, and network services
  • Overseeing system security, antivirus, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Supporting IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DaaS platforms
  • Managing Azure, Intune, and Cisco Meraki environments
  • Providing technical input and support for end-users when required

About You

You will have:

  • Proven experience in IT systems administration
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience working with Active Directory / Microsoft Entra
  • A current CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft Azure certification (or equivalent, achieved or refreshed within the last three years)
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki is desirable but not essential.
