Birchwell Associates is recruiting for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join a growing renewable energy business delivering residential and commercial energy efficiency projects across Wales.
This is a hands-on field-based role suited to a fully qualified Electrician with strong experience in Solar PV and renewable energy installations.
Youll work as part of an experienced installation team, delivering high-quality electrical and Solar PV work across a variety of domestic and commercial projects.
The Role
As Solar PV Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
- Installing residential and commercial Solar PV systems
- Wiring and connecting solar panels, inverters and battery storage systems
- Carrying out general domestic electrical works including sockets and lighting
- DMEV installations
- ASHP electrical supply runs, including armoured cable
- Installing cylinder fused spurs
- Consumer unit works and repairs where required
- Electrical fault finding and remedial work
- Ensuring all installations meet current electrical regulations and safety standards
- Working closely with installers and other electricians on site
- Supporting junior electricians and apprentices where required
- Carrying out quality checks and audits on completed installations
- Identifying remedial works and helping maintain high installation standards
- Communicating professionally with customers on site
What Were Looking For
To be considered, you will need:
- Qualified Electrician status
- 18th Edition
- Minimum 3 years' electrical experience
- Previous Solar PV installation experience
- Experience within renewable energy or renewable heating
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Experience working in field-based roles
- Good customer service skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full right to work in the UK
- Willingness to travel as required
Package
- £40,000 - £50,000 salary
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- 22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
