Deputy Manager (Nurse) – Join Our Caring Team

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager (Registered Nurse) to support the Home Manager in leading our dedicated care team. You will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive outstanding, person-centred care in a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

As Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise care staff, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Oversee care planning, medication administration, and safeguarding, ensuring residents’ safety, dignity, and individual needs are always prioritised.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, relatives, and professionals, maintaining strong relationships and excellent communication.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, training, and ongoing development to ensure a skilled and confident team.
  • Monitor and review care delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practice in line with CQC standards.
  • Support with rota management, staff appraisals, and performance reviews.
  • Help maintain accurate records, care plans, and risk assessments.
  • Promote a homely, inclusive atmosphere where residents feel valued and supported to live as independently as possible.

  • Previous deputy manager experience within a nursing care setting (essential).
  • Registered Nurse with an active PIN. Level 5 qualification desirable.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a warm, professional manner.
  • Confident in care planning, medication administration, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and a commitment to best practice.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to prioritise a varied workload effectively.
  • Competent with basic IT systems for record-keeping and rota management.
  • Passionate about delivering person-centred care and promoting residents’ dignity, independence, and well-being.
  • Right to work in the UK (we are not offering sponsorship opportunities).
