Opportunity for a Patent Litigation Associate to join a market-leading IP practice in London.

Our client is a leading international law firm with one of the most highly regarded Intellectual Property practices in the market.

They have one of the largest IP teams in the City, with unparalleled contentious and non-contentious expertise across patents, trade marks, copyright, confidential information, and data-related rights.
The IP practice has a global footprint, offering truly integrated cross-border advice.
The Opportunity
This market-leading Intellectual Property group is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Tech & Comms Patent Litigation team.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside leading IP litigators on complex, high-value and technically sophisticated disputes, advising clients operating at the forefront of tech, comms, engineering and related sectors.
The new hire will be involved in advising on the full range of contentious patent matters, including patent infringement and validity disputes, licensing disputes and Standard Essential Patents (SEP) / FRAND issues, often with a cross-border dimension.
The role will involve:
- Advising on complex patent litigation before the High Court and other relevant tribunals
- Working on technically challenging disputes across the tech and communications sectors
- Supporting clients on strategic IP enforcement and commercial litigation matters
- Collaborating with colleagues across international offices on cross-border matters

Requirements
- Qualified Patent Litigation Solicitor with 3 – 5 PQE
- Strong academic background, ideally with a STEM degree (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry or similar)
- Proven experience in patent litigation gained at a recognised IP or commercial litigation practice
