Our client, an award-winning UK law firm, is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join its established Risk and Compliance function on a permanent basis.

Our client is a highly regarded UK law firm that works with a wide range of businesses, private clients and families, offering expertise across both commercial and private client practice areas. The firm has built a strong reputation in the legal market and is recognised across Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, with a number of its teams holding leading rankings. The Opportunity
This is a broad Risk & Compliance position offering the opportunity to work closely with Partners, senior management and teams across the wider firm. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact on regulatory and professional risk matters, combining hands-on advisory work with wider projects and team responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising lawyers and business services teams on regulatory, professional conduct and risk-related queries
- Helping embed strong compliance awareness across the firm through training and guidance
- Supporting and developing a more junior member of the Risk and Compliance team
- Producing information and updates for senior leadership on key compliance matters
- Providing risk input into strategic projects, including potential business acquisition
- Working alongside Marketing and Business Development colleagues where regulatory considerations affect campaigns, communications or client activity
- Assisting legal teams with external panel requirements, tender processes and movement of client matters
- Considering contractual arrangements entered into by the firm and identifying any associated regulatory or professional risk
- Developing trusted relationships across the partnership and providing practical solutions to complex compliance issues
This Risk & Compliance Manager position is a permanent role, working Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm, 40% office presence.
Requirements
- Established Risk & Compliance experience within a law firm at an experienced or senior level
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory requirements affecting solicitors and law firms
