The Firm: Our client is a leading US-headquartered international law firm with a long-established global presence and a strong London office. Due to continued growth within the Business Development function, the firm is now seeking a Pitch Manager to join the Europe team.

The Opportunity: This is a key role within the Business Development and Client Development team, working closely with the Director of Business Development, Client Development and Engagement Managers, and Partners across all practice areas. The Pitch Manager will take ownership of the end-to-end pitch process, leading high-profile proposals and panel RFP submissions, and driving best practice across the Europe team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and taking ownership of the full pitch lifecycle across the Europe team
  • Leading high-profile pitches and panel submissions across multiple practice groups
  • Supporting Partners in developing best-in-class pitches and RFP responses to secure new business
  • Developing tailored, client-focused proposals with compelling messaging and strategic positioning
  • Maintaining and enhancing a high-quality pitches and proposals content library
  • Tracking pitch and RFP activity, analysing win/loss data and pipeline trends, and reporting insights to the Director of Business Development
  • Collaborating with the research team to gather market intelligence and strengthen proposal content
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and maximise success rates
  • Supporting additional strategic projects as required by the Director of Business Development

Requirements:

  • Degree educated
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a similar pitch or business development role within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence advising at Partner level
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
