The firm advises a broad range of clients including producers, studios, financiers, investors, production companies, distributors, creators and high-profile industry talent. The firm is recognised by leading independent legal directories for its expertise in the entertainment sector and is known for its collaborative culture, high-quality work and entrepreneurial approach.
The firm is now seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Film, Television & Theatre Group as part of its continued growth. Working alongside recognised industry experts, the new hire will advise on a broad range of rights, production, finance and commercial matters for leading names across the film, television, theatre and live events sectors.
The role will involve:
- Advising producers on rights-based matters, including creator agreements, rights acquisition and chain of title issues
- Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements across development, finance, production and distribution
- Providing structuring advice to producers, studios and investors
- Supporting clients with the day-to-day legal requirements of productions and live projects
- Advising on general commercial and intellectual property matters within the entertainment sector
Required:
- UK qualified Solicitor with 4 - 9 years' PQE
- Strong experience within Film & TV, theatre, live events, media, entertainment or wider commercial/IP practice
- Experience gained within a recognised private practice firm or relevant in-house environment
