The Opportunity

Due to growth, the firm are looking to make an experienced hire into the International Arbitration team. Successful applicants can expect to work on a variety of complex commercial litigation cases across multiple jurisdictions. This is a particularly compelling opportunity for a Senior Associate to work closely with a highly regarded international arbitration partner, recognised for advising on complex, high-value cross-border disputes.

The practice spans both commercial and investment treaty arbitration, acting for international corporates, States and state-owned entities across a range of sectors including energy, infrastructure, mining and financial services. The work is often multi-jurisdictional and institutionally diverse, offering exposure to sophisticated matters involving leading arbitral bodies.

Working within a lean and high-performing team, you will benefit from close partner contact and mentorship, gaining direct exposure to strategic, high-stakes disputes from the outset. This environment offers genuine responsibility, strong client interaction and the opportunity to play a visible role in complex matters, making it an excellent platform for a Senior Associate looking to further specialise and progress within international arbitration.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years’ PQE gained from a reputable International Arbitration team. England & Wales qualification is essential
  • Strong understanding of English arbitration law, especially the rules of key arbitration institutions such as the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, and ICSID.
  • Experience in both investor and commercial matters beneficial
  • Strong academics
  • Profit share bonus scheme paying between 16-20% of base salary annually
  • Billable hours bonus scheme (in addition)
  • Opportunity for quick internal progression
