The Opportunity
As part of a major global HR transformation initiative, the firm is seeking an experienced HRIS Test Lead to support the implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS) on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in London (2 days in office).
The HRIS Test Lead will be responsible for designing and executing the end-to-end testing strategy, coordinating test activities across HR, IT, and vendor teams, and validating functionality, data integrity, and user experience across the firm’s international offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the comprehensive test strategy for the HRIS implementation.
- Define and manage test plans, cases, and acceptance criteria across all phases (unit, system, integration, and UAT).
- Lead and coordinate testing efforts across HR, IT, and vendor teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones.
- Oversee test environments, data preparation, and defect management.
- Facilitate and support global User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure system functionality, accuracy, and performance meet business and compliance requirements.
- Validate integrations with key systems including payroll, finance, and time tracking.
- Produce detailed reporting on test progress, issues, and risks for senior stakeholders.
- Provide training and guidance to testers and end users during UAT.
- Act as a primary point of contact for all testing-related queries and escalations.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in HRIS testing (e.g. Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
- Strong understanding of HR processes including Core HR, Talent, Compensation, and Benefits.
- Proficiency with test management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to lead cross-functional testing in a global, matrixed environment.
Desirable:
- Previous experience within professional services or partnership environments.
- Exposure to large-scale HRIS transformation or implementation projects.
- Ability to train, support, and mentor colleagues during UAT phases.
