Opportunity for an Employment Partner to join an established law firm and play a pivotal role in the long-term growth strategy of the firm’s London Employment offering.
The firm is a respected, full-service law firm, recognised for its emphasis on client care and ability to deliver commercially focused outcomes. The Employment department, led by one of the firm’s Equity Partners, is ranked in the Legal 500 regionally, and is known for its high standards and business-focused advice – with a personal touch!
The firm is seeking an Employment Partner to join its team. This is a pivotal, senior hire and a unique opportunity to play a significant role in the growth of the firm’s London Employment offering, with support from the wider partnership team. The new hire will be the primary Employment Solicitor in London, working closely with the Head of Department. The role will offer a mix of fee-earning and business development responsibilities.
Duties will include:
- Advising claimants and respondents on a broad range of employment law matters, including unfair and wrongful dismissal, redundancy and restructuring, and restrictive covenants.
- Servicing both new and existing business of the firm.
- Driving business development through networking, events and marketing initiatives.
- Working collaboratively with other departments to maximise cross-referral opportunities.
- Supervising and supporting junior team members.
The firm will consider partners from mid-sized practices looking to make a lateral move, as well as senior associates from mid to large-sized practices looking for an opportunity to step into salaried partnership from day one.
Required:
- UK qualified Solicitor with 8+ years’ PQE in Employment Law.
- Private practice background preferred.
- Established client following advantageous, though not essential for well-connected candidates.
- Strong business development skills and enthusiasm for networking.
