Commercial Solicitor (Associate) with NQ-3 years\’ PQE sought for leading City boutique
The Opportunity
Our client is a leading boutique, L500 ranked in numerous departments including Commercial Litigation, Commercial Property, Corporate and Employment.
They are seeking an Associate to join their Commercial team in London. The team cover all sectors and industries but have a particular focus in the technology, digital media and retail sectors.
The team advise on both B2B and B2C transactions, supporting clients with standard form contracts as well as complex, one off bespoke contracts. The role would see you cover everything from collaboration agreements, distribution agreements and franchising agreements to outsourcing and managed services agreements, licensing arrangements and software development agreements.

Our client is a leading city firm, well-ranked in a number of specialisms. They offer an extremely high quality of work (regularly working opposite Top 50 UK firms as well as US firms), whilst also offering a more sustainable work life balance and more agile career progression opportunities.
The firm are big on business development. They’re not protective of their existing relationships and will actively encourage you to build relationships with existing clients. The firm have training in place for all Associates to support the growth of BD skills.
Given their smaller size and open plan office, everyone is very much on a first name basis. You’ll be sat amongst L500 and Chambers recognised partners, who are there to support your career development
In terms of progression, our client promotes on merit, constantly creating opportunity for those with capability and desire to progress. Conversations around Senior Associate usually start at 4-5 PQE.
Requirements
- Up to 3 years’ PQE, gained from a reputable firm
- NQs should have at least one commercial seat
- Broad commercial experience, ideally including some exposure to IP and data matters
- An interest in business development and networking
- Excellent academic record
