Our client, a prestigious and globally recognised US law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Conflicts Attorney to join their London office within the Conflicts & Legal Ethics team.
The Opportunity
This is a senior-level opportunity supporting the firm’s global risk management and legal ethics function. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, advising on complex conflicts, new business intake and ethical compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Duties to include:
- Act as the primary point of contact for partner conflict enquiries across the firm
- Manage conflict research processes and ensure potential conflicts are identified, analysed and resolved efficiently
- Advise lawyers on conflicts rules, waivers, engagement letters and firm policies
- Supervise the development and maintenance of ethical screens and information barriers
- Provide guidance on new client and matter intake procedures
- Research corporate ownership structures, SEC filings and complex legal relationships using specialist databases
- Review matters for potential illegality, unethical conduct or reputational risk issues and escalate where appropriate
- Act as a subject matter expert across private equity, banking, financial institutions, restructuring and capital markets matters
- Support the ongoing development and communication of conflicts and intake policies across the firm
This Senior Conflicts Attorney position is a full time, permanent role, working Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 5:30pm.
