Our client, a highly regarded London law firm, is seeking a Risk Lawyer to join its established Risk & Compliance team on a permanent basis. Our client is recognised for advising high-net-worth individuals, businesses and institutions across a broad range of complex legal matters. The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering a highly personalised service and fostering a collaborative, supportive culture across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected Risk & Compliance function, working closely with senior stakeholders across the firm on a broad range of professional indemnity, complaints and regulatory matters:
- Managing and assessing notifications relating to potential claims, conduct issues and risk events
- Reviewing legal files and liaising with fee earners to gather information and prepare internal risk summaries
- Supporting the handling of client complaints, including drafting responses and monitoring regulatory deadlines
- Acting as a key liaison point with insurers, external advisers and regulatory bodies where required
- Maintaining accurate records relating to live claims, complaints and risk matters
- Assisting with responses to regulatory enquiries and data subject access requests
- Contributing to internal reporting, risk analysis and ongoing compliance initiatives across the firm
- Supporting the annual professional indemnity insurance renewal process, including preparation of claims information and supporting documentation
- Working collaboratively with senior compliance stakeholders to identify trends, improve processes and support risk-related training initiatives
This Risk Lawyer opportunity is a full time, permanent position, working Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 5:30pm.
Previous experience within a legal risk, compliance or professional indemnity role within a law firm is required, along with a strong understanding of SRA regulations, complaints handling and claims management processes.
