The Firm

Our client is a well-established UK law firm with a dynamic London office, renowned for its practical, client-focused approach and collaborative culture. The firm is seeking a Receptionist (Maternity Cover, starting March 2026) to join their team. They are recognised for high-quality advice across multiple sectors and offer a supportive environment where initiative and professionalism are valued.

The Opportunity

The successful Receptionist will combine reception duties, office and facilities management, and health & safety responsibilities, acting as the organisational hub of the London office. You will work closely with Partners, teams, and colleagues across offices to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a professional, welcoming environment for clients and staff.

Duties to include:

  • Be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, delivering a professional, welcoming reception service
  • Manage office facilities, contractors, suppliers, and office equipment
  • Lead health & safety tasks, including building inspections, annual checks, and staff training
  • Maintain office supplies and organise stock orders
  • Support Partners and teams with administrative and general office tasks
  • Supervise one direct report and collaborate with colleagues across offices
  • Act as the main contact for office contracts (IT, printers, cleaning, etc.)

This Receptionist position is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract role, working Monday - Friday, 9:00am -5:30pm.

Requirements

  • Experience in reception, office management, or facilities, ideally in a professional services environment
  • Excellent organisational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Proactive, approachable, and professional with strong client service skills
