Opportunity for a Consumer Finance Senior Associate or an Associate Director to join an International Law Firm based in London.

The firm is a leading international law firm with a top-ranked Financial Institutions Group and a market-leading reputation in consumer finance, fintech and payments. The team is consistently recognised by the directories for its work on complex, innovative and fast-moving matters.

The consumer finance practice advises institutional financial services clients, fintechs, technology companies and digital innovators on regulatory issues, product launches and strategic projects. The team sits at the intersection of consumer finance, payments and technology, working closely with digital, data and tech specialists across the firm.

The firm is looking to recruit a Senior Associate or Associate Director to join its Consumer Finance team, based in London.

The role will involve:

  • Advising on consumer finance and retail banking regulation
  • Supporting clients launching new lending, payments and subscription-based products
  • Acting for both financial institutions and non-financial services clients entering regulated models
  • Working on cross-sector projects spanning retail, digital, transport and utilities

Requirements:

  • Strong experience advising on consumer finance regulation, including CCA/CONC, MCOB, BCOBS and FSMA/RAO
  • Background gained at a leading private practice firm or relevant in-house role
  • Payments experience helpful but not essential
