This permanent position is based in the Technical Drawing & Engineering Office in East Sussex. Easy commutable locations include Eastbourne, Polegate, Brighton, Lewes, Hailsham, Bexhill, Hastings, Uckfield, Horam, Heathfield and other local areas.
The Role:
Working for a market leading mechanical engineering fabrication and light structural steel manufacturing company that supply into UK and European construction, civil engineering and industrial sectors, as a Mechanical Project Engineer you will play a vital role producing designs, estimates, quotations and CAD drawings for bespoke mechanical projects.
This positon involves using Inventor (CAD)to design complex large projects from quotation stage to designing/client reviews & revisions to final approval drawings, so ideally we are looking for someone with good CAD skills and experience.
Based from the UK Technical HQ in the Eastbourne / East Sussex region, you will work on a variety of projects which are bespoke to customer requirements. With this in mind, you will employ your mechanical engineering awareness and experience, to produce quotations which are fit for spec.
Supporting Project Managers, manufacturing teams and other technical engineering staff, you will be a integral part of the engineering and technical department. This really is an interesting, challenging and progressive project engineering role not to be missed.

Candidate Requirements:
Essentially you will have 3D CAD experience (Ideally Inventor or SolidWorks) and come from a mechanical engineering, fabrication, steel, light structural steel, mechanical fabrication / weld manufacturing or similar sector.
You will have experience working with surveys, drawings, quotations, CAD, estimates and project proposals; ideally from within mechanical engineering, steel fabrication or similar related field. Although all of the above would be advantageous, we will also consider CAD / Design biased engineers who would like to be exposed to these other elements.
Any experience within construction, engineering or steel fabrication markets would be very advantageous.
