Who We Are Looking For:
- You should have recent experience of cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting.
- You must have previously managed and motivated a catering team.
- You’ll have experience of providing food for people with special dietary requirements.
- We’d like someone who is flexible, who can work alternate weekends.
- An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
How You’ll Make a Difference:
- You’ll be responsible for our residents’ meal experience and running the nursing home’s kitchen.
- Leading and supporting a team, you will:
- Design a varied menu that reflects our residents’ tastes and supports their nutritional needs.
- Ensure mealtimes are always a high-quality experience.
- Maintain the highest food standards.
- Support, train and direct the kitchen team.
- Mentor and motivate on quality, safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Assist the General Manager in developing and managing the budgetary, human and material resources within the department.
