The Role
We’re looking for a casual Housekeeper to join our friendly team, helping to keep our residents’ homes and shared spaces sparkling clean, safe, and welcoming.
This is more than just a cleaning role – it’s about bringing warmth, care, and pride to the work you do, and helping our residents feel comfortable and supported.
You’ll be part of the daily life of our community, building genuine relationships with residents and playing a key role in making Birchgrove feel like home.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out detailed housekeeping routines in residents’ apartments and shared spaces
- Ensuring communal areas are kept tidy, clean, and inviting
- Keeping an eye out for any maintenance issues or concerns and reporting them promptly
- Replenishing communal supplies as needed
- Building warm, friendly relationships with residents and their families
- Offering support with compassion, patience, and respect
- Always working in line with Health & Safety policies to keep everyone safe
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Warm, approachable, and kind-hearted
- Passionate about supporting older adults and enhancing their daily lives
- Experienced in housekeeping or a similar role
- Able to balance high standards of cleanliness with a caring, people-first approach
- A good communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Reliable, organised, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
