Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Investment Manager to join our team and support the evaluation, execution and management of acquisition and investment opportunities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing investments, leading due diligence, coordinating advisers, reviewing transaction documentation and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
This is a hands-on role requiring a commercially minded investment professional capable of independently assessing opportunities, challenging assumptions and making clear recommendations on valuation, risk and transaction structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Evaluation
- Assess acquisition and investment opportunities from initial review through completion
- Analyse management presentations, financial information and diligence materials.
- Identify value creation opportunities and key investment risks.
- Challenge management assumptions and forecasts.
- Prepare investment recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Build and review integrated financial models.
- Develop downside, base case and upside scenarios.
- Analyse key drivers including revenue growth, pricing, margins and cash generation.
- Assess financing implications and investment returns.
- Form independent views on sustainable EBITDA and earnings
- Coordinate acquisition processes from evaluation through to completion.
- Manage relationships with legal, financial, tax and commercial advisers.
- Review diligence findings and identify key issues.
- Coordinate management information requests and due diligence workstreams.
- Support transaction negotiations and execution.
- Legal & Commercial Review
- Review SPA and transaction documents from a commercial perspective
- Assess management incentive arrangements, equity structures and governance rights.
- Identify key negotiation points and recommend appropriate protections.
- Work alongside external legal advisers to drive transaction execution.
- Strategic Projects
- Support portfolio value creation initiatives and strategic growth initiatives across the business.
- Evaluate expansion opportunities, partnerships and new service lines.
- Prepare board and investor materials.
- Candidate Requirements
- 5-8+ years of relevant transaction and investing experience, typically gained through 2-3 years in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or Transaction Services followed by 3-5 years in Private Equity, or through direct experience within a Private Equity or Principal Investing team.
- Current or former Senior Associate, Investment Manager, Associate Director or equivalent.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Experience evaluating and executing acquisitions.
- Understanding of transaction structures and investor economics.
- Experience working with legal, accounting and commercial advisers.
- Ability to independently manage multiple transaction workstreams.
- Strong commercial judgement and investment mindset.
- Preferred
- Healthcare services, industrials or real estate experience
- Experience within lower mid-market or mid-market private equity
