Role Overview
As a Change & Learning Consultant, you will play a key role in driving meaningful change across UK policing, supporting the adoption of new technology through highâquality training and learning interventions. This is a handsâon role where your work will directly enable new ways of working and improved operational outcomes.
You will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative, userâfocused training, applying learning psychology and change principles to help officers and staff build confidence with new systems. Working closely with experienced consultants and policing stakeholders, you will support training needs analysis, develop engaging learning materials, and deliver training that enables realâworld impact.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your consulting, facilitation, and change management capability while contributing to a major transformation programme supporting improved outcomes for communities across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of the training workstream within a structured change management approach
- Assisting with learning needs analysis, gathering information from stakeholders, change impact assessments and project documentation
- Supporting the development of roleâbased training materials, including:
- Slide decks
- Facilitator guides
- Job aids and quick reference guides
- eLearning content
- Logistics and scheduling
- Participant communications
- Session followâups
Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in:
- Change management consulting and/or Learning & Development / training coordination roles
- Technology implementations
- Process change
- Workplace transformation programmes
- ADKAR
- Prosci
- Kotter
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear and practical content
- Good facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders in operational environments
Qualifications
- AET Level 3 (desirable)
- If not already held, training will be provided to obtain AET
Security Clearance Requirements
This role requires candidates to hold (or be eligible to obtain) the following clearances:
- NPPV2 â Metropolitan Police OR NPPV3 + SC â Warwickshire Police
Candidates without existing clearance must be eligible and willing to undergo vetting before joining.
Working Pattern
There will be three phases to this programme of work: Design, Development, and Training Delivery.
- Design & Development Phases
- Standard business hours
- Expected to be on client site (typically central London) 2â3 days per week
- Required to attend client sites across London daily
- Consultants will work shift rotation
- BIP will cover 7 days per week, between 06:00â23:00
- Training will take place between 07:00â22:00
- Consultants will work 40 hours per week, spread across the hours above on a shift rotation basis
