BiP Solutions are an SME SaaS business, where data is at the core of everything we do. We’re hiring a Senior Data Scientist to help unlock the full commercial power of our data and how that supports the evolution and value of our full product portfolio. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll lead key data science projects while shaping our wider data strategy.
You’ll work across the business—partnering with commercial, product, and technical teams—to turn data into real, measurable outcomes. You’ll also play an important leadership role, mentoring two data scientists and helping elevate the team’s overall capability.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading end-to-end data science projects that drive commercial value
- Working hands-on with data, models, and experimentation
- Collaborating across the business to identify and deliver impactful opportunities
- Shaping how we use data to inform future strategy
- Building, maintaining, and developing strong internal relationships to ensure data is understood, adopted, and embedded across teams
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience as a Data Scientist in a data-driven or SaaS environment
- Proven track record of delivering commercially impactful data solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience mentoring or supporting more junior team members
- Experience in Elastic / Elasticsearch

This role could be ideally suited to someone who has gained strong hands-on technical experience and is now looking to evolve and combine that with a highly visible role where they will be involved in various commercial projects which all contribute to the realisation of our growth strategy.
Please note that this is a hybrid role where you will work from our Glasgow office a minimum of 3 days per week. As such, we can only consider applicants who are based in the Glasgow and surrounding area, and how that best supports our shared working environment.
