What You Will Be Doing
This is an exciting time to join Biozone Scientific. With a proven portfolio of products across multiple sectors, we are scaling our Product Engineering team. Reporting to the Head of Product & Engineering, you will manage Biozone’s existing HVAC product portfolio and be a product expert responsible for providing technical leadership to support the in-market teams. The role requires frequent collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Quality functions to deliver products and support the commercial team to drive growth through opportunity.
Your Day to Day
Commercial Product Support
- Support the sales team in specifying products based on specific customer applications and requirements.
- Propose new configurations or solutions to capitalise on Biozone Scientific’s core technology expertise and expand customer reach.
- Provide a first-level technical response on HVAC product-related questions to enable exceptional customer service and technical support.
- Develop and implement customer support best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor customer feedback and work with product development teams to suggest improvements or new features.
- Work with marketing to define the value proposition and competitive advantages of different products.
Product Expert
- Understand the competitor landscape and key purchase drivers to support current product offerings and future product expansion.
- Coordinate the collection and analysis of customer use cases and user stories to ensure delivery of a product that fits their needs.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and their applications.
- Hold product training sessions to educate new salespeople/partners on the relevant technical aspects of the products.
- Ensure that all product information is up-to-date and easily accessible to customers and internal teams.
- Responsible for sustaining the existing product portfolio on cost and quality.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to overcome production risks/issues/opportunities.
- Lead activities to ensure effective production of product – cost down and technical procurement.
- Continuous Improvement – Support in the development and implementation of best practices and internal processes/procedures.
Candidate Profile:
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related field.
- Essential: 3+ years of experience in HVAC system design and specification gained through technical support and/or sales.
- Essential: Knowledge of commercial building regulations within Europe (Ideally International).
- Experience in preparing major project technical tender submissions beneficial.
- Proven experience delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Experience creating/reviewing 2D technical drawings.
- Previous experience working with suppliers/3rd parties.
- Experience of UV-C technology and air purification systems would be a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Able to work with a high level of autonomy and a self-starter.
- Ability to travel to meet with customers and suppliers.
