Biowaived is a contract research organisation focused on delivering tailored biopharmaceutics and dissolution work packages to support drug product development and help our clients to develop optimal formulations. As a Biopharmaceutics and Dissolution Scientist, your role will focus on the generation of quality analytical data to support the evaluation of drug product performance using compendial and novel in-vitro dissolution tools. The role requires the candidate to be able to work individually and as part of a team to achieve the desired project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting laboratory testing; including but not limited to:
- Compendial dissolution testing (USP I, USPII, USPIII, USPIV)
- Biorelevant dissolution testing
- Solubility and physicochemical property (logP, pKa, CMC) assessments
- Intrinsic dissolution rate determination
- Analytical testing (e.g. HPLC/UPLC)
Knowledge and Experience:
- A degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent
- Experience in pharmaceutical development – beneficial but not required
- Experience working in an analytical laboratory – beneficial but not required
The Offer:
- Location: Sandwich, Kent
- Role type: Full time role on site (laboratory-based)
- Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
- Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension scheme, annual bonus (based upon business and personal performance)
