The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

This position is responsible for the immediate and long term sales growth and profitability of the Bioventus portfolio in a specific geography. The role will recommend and implement sales strategies and tactics that deliver and exceed against the business' financial targets, business strategy and product focus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the annual regional business plan in line with national and international strategy and deliver updates every month to line manager and team.
  • Create Territory Manager annual and quarterly sales targets in line with national and international strategy.
  • Oversee development and execution of individual sales representative territory business plans and sales pipeline.
  • Detect deviations from the plan and swiftly implement actions to remedy.
  • Maintain and prove ability to forecast business performance on monthly, quarterly and annual level for overall region and key accounts as stated in the Regional Business Plan.
  • Lead regional team to achieve and exceed sales targets to maximize profit and revenue by presenting and selling company products and services to current and potential customers.
  • Ensure adherence to budget standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Customer Care & Finance to maximize opportunities and ensure efficient execution of the business.
  • Deliver powerful, meaningful and engaging sales team meetings to help drive a collaborative, learning and team environment.
  • Prepare, administer and control expense budgets as part of overall profits.
  • Attract, hire, develop and retain sales talent within the region.
  • Identify and participate in key regional conferences and seminars where appropriate.
  • Manage regional events budget.
  • Champion Medical Education as a lever for product adoption.
  • Develop KOLs within the region.
  • Drive local med‑ed through Peer‑to‑Peer meetings.
  • Contribute and support national marketing plans and activities.
  • Analyse and recommend pricing strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with direct team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (Sales Director, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Market Access).
  • Develop and maintain effective and enduring relationships with key customers across all levels including assigned National Groups.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on represented and competitive products.
  • Analyse competitors’ movements and strategy.
  • Show strong understanding of regional health care environment and reimbursement pathways.
  • Understand and recruit Market Access resources to help develop the business and expand guidelines.
  • Provide recognition to team members executing desired behaviors and achieving/exceeding performance targets through monthly call or newsletter.
  • Coach and manage performance of direct reports, ensuring focus on functional and company objectives.
  • Mitigate regrettable losses and retain top talent, developing a best‑in‑class sales force; conduct full performance management cycle.
  • Identify training gaps and implement plans to support development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s level preferred.
  • Dynamic, proactive, results‑oriented leadership with well‑developed communication skills; hands‑on management style; adaptable to a fast‑paced, high‑growth, changing environment; strong business sense.
  • Ability to interpret financial and clinical data; fluency in English and local market knowledge.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in sales and sales management.
  • Preferred experience in business‑to‑business industries such as medical device, pharma, biotech or life sciences, with experience in NHS and private hospitals.
  • Proven success in achieving sales objectives across a variety of distribution structures and product segments.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced individual and team environment.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Desirable: experience with sales data analytics.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to generate solutions to advance needed work.
  • Self‑starter, able to work independently to progress projects.
  • Travel requirement: 75%.
