Experienced Data Architect needed to support and evolve enterprise data architecture across global platforms. The role focuses on building scalable, compliant, and high-performing data environments aligned with business strategy within a pharmaceutical environment. This is a 6 month contract, hybrid or remote flexibility (depending on location) with a chance of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance enterprise data architecture
- Analyse and optimise data structures and performance
- Work with global data models to map and transform data
- Design solutions to accelerate data processing (e.g. automation, ML)
- Support database design, requirements, and technical specs
- Contribute to data governance and compliance
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field
- Strong experience in data architecture and modelling
- Experience with data modelling tools (e.g. ERwin)
- Solid SQL skills
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, MDM, and BI
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
Preferred
- Experience with big data tools (e.g. Hadoop, Databricks, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Java/Scala
- Knowledge of semantic data models or ontologies
- Background in healthcare or life sciences
