Senior Principal Consultant (Medical) at BioTalent, part of The IN Group
BioTalent are delighted to partner with a leading public research university in their search for a Director, Clinical Operations. This role will work on a pioneering, international research programme utilizing digital technologies and AI to support improved health outcomes for mothers and babies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing relationships with consortium partners, carrying out site visits to ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory frameworks in partner countries
- Stakeholder relationship management of commercial partners
- Establishing long term programme goals, including planning of design and delivery, milestones, forecasting budgets and metrics to monitor progress
- Governance of the programme from a strategic and operational perspective, including day to day execution of decisions and contracts
- Manage programme financials, including budget forecasting and expenditure
- Establish protocols and coordinate activities across teams to promote effective quality assurance and the integrity of the programme
- Ensure governance, risk, data and performance management
- Direct the clinical trial operations manager to foster effective and compliant trial management, ensuring documentation is up to date and audit-ready
- Identify business development opportunities, contributing to proposals and applications
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders from other partner organisations, which will include government bodies, regulators, universities, healthcare organisations and industry partners.
- Manage a team of project managers, operations staff and researchers, whilst working collaborative with teams across multiple organisations in various countries
Ideally you will have:
- Strong understanding of research governance, international regulatory frameworks
- Experience with large-scale clinical trials – minimal learning curve expected
- Experience working in an academic environment
