We are currently seeking an Account Manager to drive sales and business growth across UK North Territory (Including Northern Ireland) playing a crucial role in achieving sales targets and expanding Biotage's presence working closely with the European and International sales teams.
As an Account Manager, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, responsible for:
- Managing sales activities and driving business development within your designated territory.
- Managing existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets through proactive territory management.
- Identifying and qualifying new leads, conducting customer presentations, negotiations and attending industry events.
- Providing hands-on product demonstrations and technical expertise.
- Representing Biotage at scientific meetings, trade exhibitions and industry events.
- Reporting market trends and competitive insights.
- Accurately forecasting sales and maintaining customer data in Salesforce and other CRM tools.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and support.
This is a field-based role with approximately 3 days per week on site at client sites and 2 days home office.
Skills/Experience
- Degree/PhD in Organic Chemistry (or equivalent discipline).
- Practical hands-on experience of organic synthesis/chromatography within Pharmaceutical/CRO/CDMO.
- Scale-up experience is highly desirable.
- An excellent communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Customer focused.
