Join our high-performing Oligonucleotide Production Team in Southampton—a vibrant coastal city offering the perfect balance of professional opportunity and quality of life, with excellent transport links. We are seeking a Lab Technician to work in the exciting field of Nucleic Acid Synthesis supporting the synthesis and production of high-quality modified oligonucleotides. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the production team with production, analysis and characterisation of Oligonucleotides.
- Follow standard operating procedures in adherence to ISO standards.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments including calibration.
- Record and interpret results accurately, maintaining detailed documentation.
- Ensure good laboratory housekeeping managing consumables.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
- Collaborate with the Scientists and Senior Scientists on project work.
Qualifications
- Education: BSc or higher in Chemistry or related discipline.
- Previous lab experience is highly desirable.
- Experienced in lab techniques including Mass Spectrometry and HPLC is highly desirable.
- Experience in nucleic acid chemistry or synthesis is desirable but not essential.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
